"You do this and I will hate you forever." The desperation in her voice was unmistakable. Every fiber of Agatha's being screamed for this not to happen, for Rio to not take away the one thing she had fought so hard to protect. "Please let him live. Please, my love." She choked out, her voice breaking. "Very well." Rio whispered, the words foreign on her tongue. The weight of not fulfilling her duties nearly shattered her. Nearly. In this moment, Agatha and their child was worth more than anything that Rio ever stood for. Relief flooded Agatha's face, though it was short-lived as another contraction wracked her body. Rio didn't leave her side. She held Agatha through the agony, her presence was a silent promise. Minutes passed before the cries of a newborn pierced the silence of the forest. The child was alive. ------------------------------------------------ What happens when Agatha gets the life she has always wanted? A family with Nicky and Rio.

I felt the bed dip as he sat down on the other side but I focused solely on my task until I was done. "This is a pillow barrier. Meaning, you don't breach this side of the pillows." I instructed, my voice firm. "What if I don't want anything between us?" Phoenix said in a husky voice, and I risked a glance. Bad choice. His eyes were dark and his gaze was on my lips, to my chest, then back to my lips. "Eyes up here, buddy." I snapped the third time his eyes went down to my chest. All he did was turn off the lights. When it was dark, he whispered," Can't I admire what is mine?" I had no answer, and turned on my side. He sighed. Despite taking two naps today, I was out cold the minute my head hit my pillow. I could only hope that in the morning, the pillow barrier was still there. ***** Adira has a secret, one she would do anything to protect.
