Rhaenyra Targaryen has come of age and is set to marry Laenor Velaryon. The terms of their union are clear and unconventional: Laenor is free to pursue his lover, and Rhaenyra will have the liberty to do the same. But when Criston Cole, once her lover, refuses to accept his role in her arrangement, Rhaenyra is left disappointed. Not to worry, though - she'll find someone who will gladly comply.

But, as always in Westeros, things never go as planned. Criston's jealousy erupts in violence when he attacks Laenor's lover, sparking a chain of events that only gets worse. The final blow comes, when King Viserys, overwhelmed by the mounting tension, dies from the strain.

And just like that, Rhaenyra is thrust into the position of Queen.

It will be a rather long fic, with mostly wholesome things happening - only sometimes something bad and horrible (but nothing fatal to the main characters).

English is not my first language, so be warned. I mostly try to avoid any mistakes but it can absolutely happen. Correct me if you see any that I missed.

Also, chapters should appear every two weeks or less, depends on my time and my writing inspiration.

And also, everything that is in High Valyrian, but which i don't see reason writing in Valyrian just to translate it back to English, will be 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴. There also will be High Valyrian written as it is, but if it's not something obvious like 'Dracarys', there will be a translation right next to it, or it'll be connected by a '*' to the notes on the bottom.

And when the sentences are again 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, but in text, it means those are the thoughts of the characters. Sometimes it's added 'she thought', 'he thought' or something, but if not, you know those are their tho
