or to me. She walks in and the whole place softens, like we've all been holding our breath without knowing it.

I'd do anything for her, no hesitation.

Protecting her isn't a choice- it's instinct.

She's been through too much. Enough that it left her looking over her shoulder even when she swear she's fine. If our enemies ever come near her, they won't get a second chance.

She trusts me, maybe more than she admits and I carry that like a vow. Whatever comes, whoever threatens her, she'll never face it alone. I'll make sure of it. Always. She belongs with me.
