"Helena, you're not adequate enough for me," he mocks. "And you're not even pretty enough to ignore your lack of a personality. So please get it through your head: Dating you is out of the question."

Cue the laughter of his loyal pack of brainless minions. Cue Hayley's tears. And cue me-finally snapping.

I step towards him with slow claps, "Impressive."

He looks at me questioningly so I continue, "When you were a little boy, your parents said they wanted you to be exotic. But the dyslexic you misunderstood. And now you're just toxic."

"Excuse me?" he is annoyed. "Just because I don't want to date your petty friend doesn't mean I'm toxic."

"With all due respect, which is none, this has nothing to do with you rejecting Hayley," I maintain an even sarcasm with my tone, loud enough for half of the cafeteria. "It's about your words. Seven thousand languages in this world and still you chose to speak shit."

"Your friend needs to understand her place, in whatever language she gets," he states.

"Audacity must be on sale this year, right?" I ask everyone around. I could hear a few giggles from some students and my friends.
