In Hero Inside, Mike Tyler, a 17-year-old boy, accidentally summons Crying Man from one of the 100 superhero comics created by his missing uncle, Scott. Mike is drawn into a world where heroes can be summoned from these comics, and his life changes forever. Mike's journey is filled with action and comedy as he teams up with Lucy, his crush, and other heroes, including Crying Man, Black Knight, and Mummy Girl, all from Scott's

Lucy a girl who is 17, is searching for her uncle Scott, who disappeared after leaving her the Hero Books. Lucy is an intelligent and kind-hearted girl who, after some growth, starts realizing the importance of using the books for the right reasons. She learns to balance her sense of justice with compassion, particularly after seeing the contrasting behavior of Mike and Crying Man.

Solaire, a handsome and athletic hero with light manipulation powers, plays a key role in their adventure. He has a complicated backstory yet to be fully revealed, but he gradually falls in love with Mummy Girl, another character from Scott's comics. Mummy Girl, a superhero with her own unique powers and origins, becomes a key ally in the journey to find Scott and recover the Hero Books.

Super Scott, one of Scott's most powerful and controversial creations, is a formidable force who seeks to bring his own version of "true justice" by taking control of the world. He harbors deep resentment toward his creator Scott, particularly after being sealed away in his comic book for his ruthless behavior. Super Scott's views on justice conflict with those of Mike, Lucy, and the other heroes, leading to several intense confrontations.

The group's ultimate goal is to find Scott, bring him back, and ensure that the Hero Books are used for good. Along the way, Mike learns the responsibilities of being a true hero, Lucy overcomes her earlier recklessness, and Solarie's love for Mummy Girl complicates their fight against Super Scott.
