A young Italian American named Riccardo Calafiori, who's an alcohol and drug addict, ends up abandoning his baby, Camila, at a dumpster in New York. He finds out his baby goes missing the following day and believes that she's dead, but the foster care system places her in the care of a young Italian American couple, Samuele Ricci and Bianca Rossi. After going to rehab for addictions, Riccardo finds out that Camila isn't dead and that Samuele and Bianca adopted her three years later. Riccardo tries to reinstate his parental rights for Camila and to challenge the adoption. (Inspired by "Losing Isaiah") (PG-13 for some language and themes)

When Mathilda was twelfe, her world fell apart. A tragic car accident stole her father, her mother drowned her grief in alcohol, and her brothers slowly drifted away-reduced to rare phone calls every few months, if at all. Now, with their mother's death forcing them back into each other's lives, the siblings are faced with the fragile possibility of rebuilding what was lost. But wounds this deep don't heal easily. And Mathilda must decide whether some bonds are worth forgiving-or whether the past will keep them forever broken.
