Erkenci Kuş: Broken Promises
Snippets of alternate outcomes in the lives and enduring love story of Can Divit and Sanem Aydin. When I started out with this story, I only intended to loosely base the 'short piece' on the events in Bolum (Episodes) 17 & 18 however, I got such positive feedback, I decided to stretch it out a bit. I'm still unsure how far I will stretch it but so far, I'm enjoying writing it and will keep going till I run out of steam. I can't think of any show/movie that I've watched in recent times to which I have reacted as I did when I watched Erkenci Kuş. The characters hooked their claws into me and wouldn't let go. I rooted for Sanem and Can; cried and laughed with them; railed at and cursed their detractors and finally rejoiced over their reunion. However, the ending was so rushed. After all the angst we were put through with their relationship, I felt robbed of an extended happily-ever-after. What we were given was too short. I hope to right that wrong, amongst others, with this story. Though I only watched the show in Jan/Feb 2023, I have since rewatched it countless times. There were certain parts of the plot which wound me up so much so this is me writing what I wished had happened. Enjoy!Compleet

It has been too long since her departure into the dangerous territory, and fearing for her safety, the three meet and band together to save her. Little do they know what dangers may await them and that the Main Lead is with none other than Onychinus' infamous leader, Sylus. *Disclaimer: I have played with this little fan-fic for quite a while now, and at the request of others to publish it for fun, I finally decided to. The majority of this story was written before the latest chapters from the game came out. Some of the ideas are also my own fan theories, and may not be perfectly matched to the story or what is Cannon, thus, keeping this story a fan-fic. Fan-fictions, in essence, are not always representative of the truths of what they are reflecting or about. There may be inconsistencies with the game and the lore, and those are liberties I have chosen to take to add my own twists to this story, and some things I have added are to help fill in the gaps for what we do not know yet or may suspect will happen in the future. It is meant to be a fun exploration of the characters and world and about how our MFL gets out of the N109 Zone and what would happen if all her "reverse harem" boys were to come in to save her. ;) One thing to note is that anything to do with the name or reference to our MFL character I have chosen to frame in brackets, ie [Her].
