if he wanted to he would, he'd buy me yellow flowers, lay his head down on my chest and stay there for hours.

Teddy Hoffman has been going to Cousins Beach every summer for as long as she could remember. Her mom say's it's been her whole life, and she doesn't doubt it. Diana Hoffman, Susannah Fisher, and Laurel Park have been best friends since college, going to the Fisher beach house every summer. It was only right to keep the tradition going after marriage and kids. Conrad Fisher, Teddy Hoffman, and Steven Conklin were the oldest, followed by Jeremiah Fisher, Brody Hoffman, and Isabel Conklin.

The girls were constantly teased by the boys, but as the summer crew grew up, the crushes started. No one thought that out of the three unrelated options in house and a beach full of singles that Teddy and Belly would have the same first love.

"promise me you will always remember me?" ethan said as tears fell from his eyes. "fuck you." was all i managed to get out before turning around and walking out his flat. i slammed the door shut, and leaned against the wall next to it. once i regained my vision i took the lift down to the first floor, when it opened i cried the whole way to my car. i opened the door and sat down quickly before letting my head fall on to the steering wheel. "why me?" i cried out. my entire life had flashed before my eyes.
