David Simmons is what people call the 'popular guy', muscular, pretty face, decently sized ego, and a football star that attracts attention, unwanted attention, that is. What people don't know, is his home life situation. A shaky, and rocky home life that's hidden in the depths of his soul and behind a smile, solid armor that no one would ever be able to chink. Living his life behind a lie of loving football, David's real goal is to save him and his sister from further poverty, but no one knows that, except for him and his sister.
When he meets Kate Embers through her brother, Ray Embers, it's not as solid of a start as they would like. Overtime, though, both of them see something.. familiar in each other.
