Even worse, the generosity of her uncle the current Duke of Bath is running low, and even more pressure is placed on Miss Josephine to shine this season to prevent her and her mother Lady Allison's destitution. Of course, there's also the family secret that all the house servants know but no one outside that could either ruin or save everything: Lady's Allison lover.
