In one world, a man named Satoru Mikami dies and reincarnates as a slime, renamed Rimuru Tempest by the Storm Dragon, Veldora. In this world, a man named Raymón Marollo survives his near-death encounter and continues his employment under Mr. Saiko as his trusted bodyguard.

In another world, Satoru Mikami is the one to survive, passing out from blood loss only to wake up in the hospital, alive. In this world, Raymón is the one to die, a brutal and bloody last stand to protect his employer and those he commanded. Upon his last breath, Raymón wakes to darkness.

Raymón reincarnates as a slime.
