Grappling with the complex inheritance of patriarchy, written in a series of poems when visiting my homeland in 2024. I wrote them to figure out who I am, how I can belong and simultaneously not belong to an old world and deep roots... and how (walking among the ancient ruins and then the advertising-strewn streets) I can choose my own inheritance.
