Broken Mirror

Sequel to 'The Mirror'.

I intended for 'The Mirror' to stay where it ended
That is, as a flashback to the day the story began
And then I wrote an short epilogue as a way of saying I understood Zack Snyder's ending, even if 'Tyler' could never accept it
This then is Tyler refusing to go quietly...

Those readers who made it through the first story will have figured-out 'Tyler Durden' is not the T.D. of Fight Club... Mainly because of the plot's desire to include both of Fight Club's 'Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde' characters.
With similar creative-license, the other, non-original characters, continue to be extrapolations from the movies: TDK, TDKR, Batman V. Superman, Man of Steel, and Fight Club. So although I have tried to keep the characters true to how the movies portrayed them, the story leans on the emotional side of these characters as opposed to the traditional comic-book focus on the character's super-powers.
Further, since 'Broken Mirror' begins as a backstory of a guy who was already traveling a villain's character-arc, the first two short sections are focused on the reintroduction of Tyler while the longer third & fourth parts bring his war against fate to Gotham.

Halting Zod's invasion of Metropolis is still the end game, but with that story still in the storyboard stage, and this story not ending with a cliff-hanger, it feels fair to mark 'Broken Mirror' as complete.

Rated Mature for: violence, profanity, smoking, innuendo, adult themes & situations.

Italics used to denote: emphasis, the Tyler's contrarian (and sometimes schizophrenic) inner-monologue, as well as breaks in the narrative's reality.
