The Candle Girl

The country doesn't want people like twelve-year-old Dorothy Ann anymore. She and others have been rounded up by Freedom Patrols and condemned to the Internment Zone. On a cold winter's night, in the remains of a burned-out building, all she has for warmth is a candle. But within the light of its flame, she finds all the miracles she can hope for.
