Hearts anchored by faith (Luffy x fem!reader)

Story description: Y/n's childhood was not a normal one, no not at all, far from it. it was filled with hardship and trauma, but also and experience filled with joy that she will never forget. bad things happening left and right and it was as if she couldnt catch a break. the seven year old had a hard time breathing, it was cramped and shes starting to feel the effects of her claustrophobia. she was scared, any child would be. the barrel rocked, and flowed withe the waters waves making her tumble around. water sept into the barrel soaking her socks. she wanted to cry. oh so bad she did. but tears did not come out, everything was so suffocating all she could do was sit the small barrel, in the middle of the huge sea. waiting for the next pirate ship to find her, and take advantage of the poor child.
