An End To Arms

This chapter comes from a high school assignment I completed seven years ago. Upon finishing the Ernest Hemingway novel: A Farewell to Arms, we were tasked with creating an epilogue to the story in which the main character, Henry, returns to Italy after being away for ten years. In addition to matching Hemingway's style, we also needed to use his symbolism as well. A daunting task considering we had a day and a half to complete the task, our teacher was a member of the Hemingway society, and had already told us moment's before that she believed the ending of a farewell to arms was perfect. Fortunately Hemingway's style is rather close to my own and I had a few ideas of what I could use in the story to continue it just a bit further. Upon request from a few people I'm now publishing this work to share so that others may read it as well. Should this do well I might tackle other books, who knows. Regardless I hope everyone enjoys
