Ever since the lives of your parents were claimed by dragons, you lived in fear of them. An unfortunate predicament to be in when you lived on Berk. You managed to stay out of the fighting, by work with your Uncle Gobber at his forge, alongside Hiccup. What would happen if you were the one to discover Toothless first? What would happen if Toothless already knew the Light Fury? If disastrous events lead to you and Toothless running away from Berk? How would the story change, and what dark turns will it take? No matter the road you follow, there will be light at the end of your journey.
This a (Platonic!) Toothless X Reader first, and a Hiccup X Reader second. And of course (Platonic! Uncle!) Gobber X Reader. There will also be Toothless X Dragon OC, and (Platonic!) Hiccup X Dragon OC.
Warning: There will be Cannon Divergence, and Major Character Death.

Mistreated and malnourished, little Hiccup doesn't understand why most everyone on Berk hates him. Gobber notices the abuse and steps in, but things quickly spiral out of control and the only way to keep Hiccup safe is to smuggle him off of Berk and into the hands of their allies. Complete!!! Hiccup was always a nuisance to the vikings on Berk. He was viewed as a runt, a shame, and a screw up. That all changed when he became the top of dragon training, and finally gets the chance everyone thought he only dreamed of. To kill a dragon in front of the entire village. Stoick was proud of his son, he had almost lost hope in him. Now, he proved everyone wrong, or so they thought. Hiccup wanted nothing more than to have this chance his entire life! However, that was before he met and bonded with Toothless, a night fury he had shot down weeks ago. Now, he wanted to escape, but not without attempting to convince the vikings that dragons weren't the real threat. He thought his monstrous nightmare match would be the perfect setting for such a feat. When things go sideways, when Toothless saves Hiccup, he has a choice, stay and try one last shot of convincing Berk, or flee with his best friend. He chooses the best option, he flees. Now, he is branded as a trator, a renegade. Stoick practically disowns him and he is never heard from again. five years later, Berk hears mighty tales of a grand hero who rides a night fury. Many call him 'Night Rider', 'Dragon Tamer', and 'Mysterious Rider'. Many doubted that this hero could be their traitorous ex heir to the Berkian leadership. After all, he was described as having a prosthetic leg, very tall, confident, and extremely buffed, while Hiccup was the opposite of all these descriptions. But... why then, has this new hero never visited Berk? And what will happen when he finally dose? Feel free to comment! I will also edit things I want everything to be amazing.
