Rafe leaned his head back against the seat, closing his eyes. "You think I'm worth it?"
Sienna looked at him, her heart aching at the vulnerability in his question. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't," she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.
He opened his eyes, turning his head to look at her. "Then why do I feel like I'm losing you?"
She held his gaze, her own eyes reflecting the turmoil she felt inside. "Because you've never let yourself have me, Rafe. Not really."
The truth of her words hit him harder than he expected. He reached out, his hand brushing against hers where it rested on the console. "I don't want to lose you," he said, his voice breaking.
Sienna didn't pull away. Instead, she let his hand linger against hers, the contact grounding them in a way words never could. "Then don't."
