Tangled Hearts

She marries him to save her father, and he agrees to the union for the sake of his grandmother.
From the very beginning, he makes it clear: "Don't expect anything from this marriage. You will have all the respect, name, and fame, but nothing else from me." Her response is simple and accepting: "I don't expect anything more."
This is a transactional marriage, where she agrees to care for him and his young son in exchange for stability.
Yet, life has other plans.
"Why are you always hovering around me? I can take care of myself" him irritated not wanting to show any signs of vulnerability
Slowly, without either of them realizing it, things begin to change. He starts depending on her in ways he doesn't understand

"You are my wife, you are supposed to care only for me," he spoke rudely, his voice sharp

"You didn't want anything from me, remember?" she teased, her voice light but with a knowing glint in her eye.
