Alexandra Fairmont is just trying to make it through her senior year in one piece. With her 18th birthday looming, life at home feels like a constant battle, her mother's death hanging over her and her father's ways of grieving making things even worse. To escape, she's found an unusual afternoon activity; illegal cage fighting. It's dangerous, but it pays well, and Alexandra's pretty damn good at it. But when a new student, Lucas Volkov, walks into Westbrook Academy, everything begins to shift. He's mysterious, intriguing, and suddenly, all Alexandra can think about. As her quiet, controlled world unravels, she finds herself struggling to keep her secret life hidden while also grappling with new feelings she didn't expect. As her relationships grow more complicated, and her two worlds begin to collide, Alexandra has to navigate the blurred lines between the person she's always been and the person she's afraid to become. Can she keep everything together, or will everything fall apart?

So who in their fucking mind would be stupid enough to cross me? My brother and I have been wrongfully convicted of a crime we didn't commit. We know who is behind this. We bid our time behind bars, planned and prepared for the day we got out. Now we're free and hungry for redemption. I know what must be done. I know whose blood will be spilled. But before I go after him, I'll go after his daughter. I never said I play fair. *Book one in the Marino Brothers Duet. Rated 18+ due to explicit language, sex, and violence.*
