What starts as a routine walk with her dog turns into a nightmare for Margo when she witnesses two men attempt to abduct two boys from their front yard. In a split second of bravery, Margo manages to shove one of the boys out of the truck and onto the ground, but before she can escape, the men overpower her. With a pillowcase shoved over her head and one of the boys still captive, Margo is taken to an unknown location. Trapped and terrified, she clings to the hope that she and the boy will survive. Bound by fear but driven by determination, Margo must use every ounce of her strength and cleverness to outwit her captors. In The Vanishing Walk, a heart-pounding tale of courage, resilience, and hope, Margo's fight for survival becomes a race to reclaim the future.

New Orleans isn't just a city-it's a pulse. A rhythm. A hunger. And nobody knows that better than Arielle Washington, a tired single mother grinding just to make rent in the Desire Projects. Love left her a long time ago, replaced with diaper bags, house keys, and survival. That is, until a new housekeeping job drops her into the home-and world-of ICE the most dangerous man in the streets. ICE doesn't do mess. Doesn't do feelings. But there's something about Ari-her fire, her silence, her scars-that draws him in. And when business gets bloody and loyalties are tested, the line between protector and predator blurs. Because in the Dirty South, nothing comes clean... not even love.
