"My last breath will be your name, Emma." Buck breathed, before gently placing his lips on hers. On the surface, Emma Riley is a typical 32 year old workaholic. She is a medical doctor at Kindred Hospital in L.A. However, Emma works so much to keep the memory of what happened to her buried deep inside. She does not let her mind wonder to the patch of mountain where the wild red roses grow. The day started like any other Wednesday. That is until she runs into a handsome fire fighter crunched over in a quiet hall. Evan Buckley was there for his friend, Eddie. Eddie had been shot while on a call. Over the next few weeks, Emma and Buck bond. After Eddie's release, Buck can't shake the memory of Emma. Emma also felt a connection with Buck. However, in order to move on with her life, she must face the memories and reality of what happened to her.

After a long battle against justice, Evan Buckley, mostly known as Buck is finally back at house 118. Injured in duty, his main purpose always was to take back his job on behalf his captain, persuaded he wasn't ready yet. When pursuing the city and his friends in justice, Buck lost the trust and faith of his colleagues and his return maybe won't be what he expected. After all he've been through, the eyes of his best friend could be the most difficult thing to survive. And sadly the year promises to be particularly tough and he might well need the support of his friends. His family. And specially Eddie's. The events take place after the beginning of Season 3 I do not own any of those characters. A sudden, bright flash had him flinching, a red hot burning entering his hands. Sparks flew as he was flung back, his hands and chest burning as he landed hard on his back. His heart beat was loud in his ears, audible under the ringing daze as his head spun. One, and a two, and a three... He rolled over with a groan, scrambling for his helmet.
