Hyun Jae, a female fighter who had been introduced to the world of boxing at the ripe age of fourteen. She grew up with barely enough money, and when her parents had died when she was sixteen, she was officially all on her own. Desperate for a way forward, Hyun Jae turned to underground boxing, fighting her way up. At first she had placed small bets on herself, to try and get more money. But the amount of winnings had gone to her head, leading her to placing reckless and unrealistic bets that she couldn't afford anymore. When she gets invited to the Squid Games, she was convinced that that was her only chance of winning in life. She didn't have anything in life anymore, so what difference would it make?
