In the Beginning, there was only Darkness. Then suddenly, Light. The First Star was born and looked upon the Cosmos. Darkness would soon devour Light as it was the Nature of the Universe. Life is precious and the First Star would not allow Nature to continue. Millions of years of war would be waged between the two, creating a tightly knit balance. The stars depended on the Light to exist while the lifeless edges of the universe needed the Darkness to begin anew.

From the Darkness, unspeakable monstrosities would emerge. From the Light, the First Star chose them.

Many centuries ago, an unspoken darkness swept across the land taking all that was light and pure in the world with it. Creatures of this darkness roamed free to spread the darkness wherever they went consuming any trace of light remaining. In order to stop The Darkness from controlling the world, a group of priests took the remaining pieces of light and placed them within the body of two chosen children. They became known as the Children of the Light. Their sacrifice was not in vain, leaving behind spoken words for the next generation of children born with the pure light energy within them. Present day we find ourselves in a small city named New Haeven that has become the centre of the secret world of light and dark.The current story follows a Guardian by the name of Ronin. Ronin saw the faces of the new Children of the Light and was tasked by the Elders to track them down and protect them at all costs.The children were both college students and were one male and one female whose names were James Hillman and Sara Danvers..When Ronin went to see he ran into a ghost from his past, Lillian. The story continues on with Ronin seeking answers from the Elders about how a Guardian could come back from the dead.

Enter the forces of light. To them, genocide isn't that cool. They're like, "How about you NOT do that, 'k?" These shining paladins of hope (most of them, anyway) are trained to defend the world from these monsters. The guardians of the light are trained to protect at the 'Гэрэл Чапел' (The Chapel of Light). Jace, who came to the school expecting such, has spent years (one and a half) preparing himself to fight. However, he soon learns that the fight runs much deeper, and the stakes are much higher than he thought.
