Janessa is the daughter of Jerika Benton, the famous producer for the Holograms...and the secret identity of Jem. Janessa knows her mother's stopped performing all together due to a medical condition she developed. It's not looking great for the singer, and Janessa knows she can't lose her mother nor her music.
