Still recovering from the attack that nearly took his life, Volt finds himself struggling against the overprotective watch of Optimus and Megatron, and the guilt weighing heavily on Obsidian's shoulders. As their relationship deepens, so do the dangers surrounding them.

When a group of former Decepticons begins threatening the peace Megatron and Optimus worked so hard to try and achieve, Volt and Obsidian are pulled into a conflict that forces them to confront their pasts, their futures, and what they mean to each other.
