Never Say Never | Neville Longbottom x OC

Marceline Yvette Snape's life has been consumed by silence. Not the kind of silence that comes from loneliness or awkwardness, but a peaceful, comforting kind of silence. The kind of quiet that comes from reading outside in the early light of dawn or sharing a cup of tea with your father who isn't much of a conversationalist. It's not the absence of warmth, but the absence of non-essential noise. But now as her childhood nanny and teacher moves away to be with her family and her time of being homeschooled comes to an end, so does that beautiful silence. Because as she joins her father at Hogwarts for the first time as a third year, she comes to the quick realization, non-essential noise is the only thing that fills the halls. Having the social skills of a bear with its nose buried in a book, she isn't keen on making many friends. Though it's clear Neville Longbottom doesn't quite understand that. And maybe, just maybe, Marceline's ever-present wish for solitude, might just change.

Marceline Yvette Snape doesn't realize that as many time as she may say never, the world works in mysterious ways.

Succumb (v.) meaning to stop trying to resist an overpowering force or a strong temptation.

Harry Potter does not belong to me. Only the characters I've made.
