Hearthwick Hollow had always been a relatively calm village in the Scottish countryside, Until Dr. Alesi Mae Greymoor found herself faced with a sudden epidemic of children with supernatural qualities appearing almost out of thin air all around Hearthwick and the surrounding settlements. Along with these children she tasks herself in treating, her very dreams become haunted by an animal that defies all natural law. It's presence becoming more and more real as the cases come rolling in at an alarming rate.

The chaos comes to a point when Alesi learns of a child born of tragedy, the very method of her creation meant to be the cause of her destruction. Alesi knows her special condition is something that she should be cared for, not something that should be treated.

How can she keep her safe from those who only see the curse and not the little girl behind it?

Champions of Light: Gaëtano's Sword [Book One] by Natbug4545
20 parts Complete Mature
AVAILABLE ON AMAZON & KINDLE On the planet Keodis, upon the western continent, Uestron, inside the Raesifiin Empire, in the small naval city of Cyripo, the story begins when thirteen diverse strangers answer a strange pamphlet to a quest. The quest is to find a powerful gem in the Deep Forest, and then to use what powers it bestowed on them to delve into the Mountain Barrier. There, they will have to find the Light to dispel the growing Darkness within. Though this qest is honorable and righteous, the dangers that await them are exponentially worse than they could ever imagine. Whether they can save the world depends on whether they can survive themselves. Mature rating for blood, gore and depictions of violence. TW: mentions of drunkards and beer, mention of physical abuses, a description of trypophobia, claustrophobia, and other phobias, and descriptions of nasty cryptids. There is no depictions or allusions of sex, no f-bombs, or drug abuse. This story was started when I was in seventh grade. I finished the original when I was a senior in high school. Displeased with the finished product, I began to rewrite it here, starting June 2015, then again in 2020. I am quite satisfied with the result, and am sure this will be the final edition. This isn't the first book of the series, but there's no spoilers for 'The World is Larger than it Seems', so you can start on this one. The story is far from finished, however, and I hope to eventually finish the series.
