Death found her.

When Era says "Death," she doesn't mean the grim reaper assigned to claim souls. She means the force itself-an undeniable power that revealed its angelic nature. Death-who also known as Mortem, as an angel, is tasked with ending the spread of evil, and now, Era is forced to face an unimaginable assignment with him.

The assignment is called Mission: The Last 7 Minutes.

When Mortem first explained it to her, Era did the only thing she could think of: Run away. A human working alongside an angel? It was absurd. To think she had no weapons; she had no powers; she had no faith. Most of all, she wasn't religious-not even close to being the kind of person who should be chosen for a holy mission.

But running was futile. No matter how far she went, Mortem always found her.

Because they were bound. Together, they had a duty.
