A pacifist by principle and lazy by choice, Yivre's idea of a good day involves avoiding conflict, dodging responsibility, and maybe a nap in her pile of treasures. But living without a tribe, a stray like her is reluctant to focus on staying alive. Hunted for reasons she doesn't understand and thrust into dangers she'd rather not face, Yivre must navigate a land where soulless orcs devour everything in their path and ancient powers stir in the shadows.

The secrets of her heritage hold the key to stopping the destruction-or speeding it along. But Yivre has no grand plans to save the world. She's just trying to survive long enough to build a treasure fortress than to figure out why everyone seems so determined to chase her.
