After Mehrunissa's, single mother, left her and her older brother at her fathers relatives house. she's faced nothing but ridicule and abuse. while her older brother was favoured.

Once Mehru became an young adult, she had dreams. dreams that no girl in the village could achieve, not even her. she was isolated for most of her life, so she was innocent and naive. she was sent to public school, while her older brother and cousins, were sent to private school. When Mehru turned 23. her guardians didn't want to be responsible for her anymore, so they arranged an marriage for her, to the middle son of an rich and well off family.

Life turns upside down, when he rejects her, saying that he loves another, and her guardians throw her over to his respectful older brother, Dr Fahad. who agrees to marry her.

Dr Fahad is the opposite from his immature little brother. he's kind, compassionate, caring. everything that his younger bhai is not.
