CHRYSALIS

In the deep moment between what has happened and what will happen, the chrysalis exists. It is a fragile covering of transcendence in which the caterpillar lives a mundane existence and gives in to the encasing darkness of metamorphosis.

Though storms may bruise the lakes still frame, And shadows cloud the butterfly's flight
Within each dawn, though wrapped in flame, Lies a whispered promise of light.
