When you experience the worst thing you could ever imagine, how do you react? - "The water looked so tempting under me as I stood there in the dark. The splashing sounds as the waves hit the stone calmed me down and I took a deep breath. Yes. This was it. I closed my eyes and took one step closer, feeling the curb under the soles of my shoes when I stopped again. Then my heart started pounding when I heard the sound of an angry engine behind me, a screech and a crash. I turned around, gasping, ready to pick my phone up from the ground to call for help- but what met me was a pair of soul-searching golden eyes. In all his twisted glory, he stood in front of me, his precious motorcycle's engine still going as it laid on the ground behind him. His hand reached out, as if asking me to wait, but neither of us said anything. We just stood there." - Olivia was a happy, cheerful girl whose life turned upside down one evening, over a phone call. I do not own Bondi Rescue and do not claim anything as my own aside from Hadlee and the storyline. This is a FANFICTION. I do my best with facts and speech. Although I am not from Australia, I try to look up common and popular slang terms and phrases. I know that some epilepsy facts aren't entirely accurate, and I am trying my best to make them as precise as possible. Hadlee Reid, 20-year-old sister of Bondi lifeguard Harrison Reid, has recently moved from New Zealand to live with her brother after her parents had decided that her condition was too much for them to handle. Hadlee is an epileptic; she relies on medication and the occasional lucky streak to keep her from going into sudden convulsions. Harrison, one of the only members in their family who accepted Hadlee's circumstances, was beyond happy to have his sister come and live with him in Australia, but now he faces another problem. He has kept most of his home life a secret from his fellow lifeguards. Now, he must adapt to having the responsibility of his sister in his care and keep his duties at work unaffected. But when the lifeguards find out about Hadlee and her condition in an unplanned manner, how will they take it? And how will Harrison take it when Hadlee and one of his fellow lifeguards take a liking to each other? First book in the Epi(lepti)c Series.
