The current year is 2022, ten years after the Outbreak, when an asteroid crashed into the Pacific Ocean only miles away from the state of California, bring with it a virus that mutates DNA giving people and some animals strange abilities. Around the country, people were preparing for the "great danger" from the inside. People who have the mutation, called Benders, are arrested an taken to an underground prison in Denver, Colorado. The fear and aggression amplified. The term "Bender" became "Deviant Assassin". The laws in the country are diminished every day because everyone in the government is focused on the problem at hand. By the time it was 2022, America had become a country with only one law: Only humans have a right to live in society. There are no police, no president, no armed forces, not even the Coast Guard. The only defense is against Deviant Assassins via the Undivided Protection Corps. However, there's two sides of every story, right?
19 year old Skylor Black is, for the most part, a typical girl living with her Native American tribe in a valley just outside of what used to be Colorado Sprigs. Slightly set back by old injuries, she still leads a normal life in a post-apocalyptic world. But all of that changes when one day she gets herself into something that can never be fixed. She soon finds herself not only representing her worst enemy, but she is now on the wrong side of a terrible war. While the government is looking for her, all the people she loves and adores get wound together with the rest of her massive wad of problems. Will she be able to clean up this mess before lives are lost?

They have to battle the elements, Half-lings, other survivors, and themselves just to stay alive. What happens when Maria is captured by a group of Half-lings, and taken away from her brother? The year is 2096. Computers, and other recognition software with them, have grown infinitely more powerful since the 2010s. Business is thriving. People are running about, living their lives, and generally enjoying themselves with their new 'smart' devices, which, for better or for worse, are actually living up to their name. Finally. Enter outcast Vincent Schorennherr. Her parents [emphasis on her] parents wanted a boy, no luck on that account, and they let her know that every day. You think that's not so bad? Think again. "Sorry, Vincent, but you're going to school anyways, flu or no flu." Well, just before first period, a 'conveniently'-timed password-entry prompt pops on on her phone screen, right as she: 1) Presses the sensor, and 2): sneezes, spreading rhinoviruses all over herself and her phone. She wipes the phone off and goes to class,thinking nothing more of the incident until the next day, when she goes to turn it on and gets a kill screen: "Fatal Error 81-141. The flu's contagious, didn't you know that? Bye now, gone to play Caesar- Veni, vidi, vici and all that." With that, her phone blinks off, and within hours, other phones begin to follow suit. With panic on the rise, and global tensions rapidly following suit, can Vincent and her friends find the cure before it's hard shutdown? **NaNoWriMo 2017** Complete in the sense that I'll probably never write any more of this story. She realizes that it’s heaven and see’s a crowd of people standing over her. These people, were the people who passed away on earth. All of these people were murdered on earth, but never received any justice. [Caylee Anthony, Natalee Halloway, The Black Dalhia, etc.] but one person that stands out that she sees that has been swarming around the news, is Trayvon Martin. After meeting these people, she asks questions and realizes everything that all of the prosecutors and police have missed for years. But what happens when she wakes out of her coma? After waking out of her coma, she realizes that the place called “Heaven" that everyone has been stressing about was actually real! But what does she tell the people in the outside world? After stressing to many people about what people in this other world has told her, everyone around her starts to think that getting into that accident made her a little “psycho", “crazy", and “mental". To visit these people in heaven, the only way she can do it is by potentially killing herself just so that she can see and talk to them. But with this, also comes the cost of people thinking that she’s suicidal or crazy, pushing her mother to take drastic measures to help control her daughters suicidal behavior. Being the only person who knows that these people in Heaven are actually communicating with her, will she be able to convince other people in the outside world on whats going on?Complete

The government every year tasks its elite soldiers to participate in a nation-wide Cull. Hundreds of children are taken from homes and put into one of four Facilities. While most of them will be offered comfortable lives in the forms of low-ranking militia commandos and government jobs, a few will be groomed to be the successors for the highest office the government has to offer: The Law. To ensure that they would be able to keep ruling the world, The Law started implanting chips into all its citizens. These chips called DEC, as Contained electrical current, it's an electronic chip that looks like a silver dot, these chips allowing The Law and any actual law enforcement to be able to track everyone. And it would help to keep everyone in line and stomp out any pesky notions before they manifested into something bigger, something dangerous. Shirley is known in the Facility as Ten, alongside six others, they have spent years enduring confinement and rigorous testing in order to secure a future as head of the Law. When a group calls themselves the codas breaks into the Facility and kidnaps Ten and the others, she's forced to re-examine her future plans. In the year 2050, post-apocalyptic world, a lone girl must choose between becoming the next-in-line to head a corrupt government or siding with those who wish to see the world a better place. Order and lies, or truth and freedom? Whatever she chooses, one thing is clear: both sides bleed. Shirley should decide if the future she'd been promised since childhood is worth the lies it's built upon. Back by popular request! The 2017 rough draft of The Virus Within! (Caution: Contains massive plotholes that were fixed in the polished The Virus Within Series. Grammar issues are present, particularly missing commas.) What do you do when you are one of the infected? The virus in my blood is trying to steal my humanity. It alters my very thoughts and reactions. It taunts me by tempting me with desires that it planted in my brain. These bloodthirsty desires would lead to my demise if I ever gave in. I have more in common with the zombies than with humans at this point. Even the fallen zombies accept me as one of their own. Blood is required to retain my grip on sanity, but the sweet-smelling blood from humans is a short path to madness. Human blood is to be avoided at all costs. Humankind around the world was driven close to extinction by the sudden appearance of the zombies, yet small groups of survivors constantly manage to appear and put my control to the test. -------------------------- This is a standalone zombie book. It has nothing to do with A Different Virus. I wanted to try a book with an easily irritated main character and a nutcase secondary character. This book has a slightly darker outlook at the beginning than my usual stories, but it has some humor further along. Becoming Them: A Zombie Novel
What would you do if one second you were struggling to survive with your friends and mother in tow, and then you wake up to find yourself with a group of strangers the next - all during the country's takeover of blood-thirsty zeds? Megan couldn't believe her eyes. Her brain was muddled with confusion she couldn't get rid of, no matter how many times those strangers reassured her and explained what happened. But she had to accept it, even though it didn't make any sense to her. Megan had been with her mother every step of the way since everything turned to chaos, beginning just a year before, and now she was nowhere to be seen. And on top of that, she had the zeds to deal with. Ghastly creatures that used to be human, carrying a virus that's spread through a constant hunger for flesh from the host, spreading through bites and scratches. It didn't exactly make it easy to prevent getting infected. Things could have been worse, though, Megan thought. She could've been left all alone to ponder over her thoughts and fear over the future. It'll only be within the time spent with the new group will she find out that everything's not as happy and welcoming as it had seemed. These people had a few secrets of their own, including the real reason they took Megan in.
