Alicia Sousa never planned to make waves in Shorehaven. Her mother's decision to move to the quiet beachside town was supposed to be to be closer to her cousin Marlon and his mother, but her sarcastic wit and bold personality quickly draw attention-especially from Marlon's friends- especially from Bodhi Mercer, the golden girl of Subtropix's, and the Shorehaven surf scene.

Unlike her brother Marlon, Alicia has no interest in surfing. Her passions lie in drama and the arts, where she can fully embrace her love for the spotlight. But the more time she spends at the beach, surrounded by Bodhi and her tight-knit group of friends, the harder it becomes to ignore the pull she feels.

Their flirtatious friendship brims with tension, but Alicia isn't sure if she's ready to risk her heart, especially when her dreams and Bodhi's seeming so far apart. In a whirlwind, Alicia must decide if love is worth diving into the unknown.
