Heart To Heart

It's the end of 1974, Emmylou is finalizing her first solo album after the tragic death of her singing partner and friend Gram Parsons a year earlier. With big shoes to fill and many changes happening, it's all becoming a reality in her world. No longer performing in front of bars with people that have drinks, no more doing super small music gigs for tiny bits of money.. She'll become a country superstar overnight, thanks to her new band called "The Hot Band."

Emmylou met a girl named Emily in the spring of 1972, two years before her big solo endeavor. The two girls became vast friends and Emmylou asked her to play bass on this album. With Emily accepting the offer, she stepped in almost immediately, ready to make a big change to help Emmylou with her career, since she already had her start just seven years earlier. As Emmylou finishes her album and goes on tour to promote/welcome her new audience, her bond with Emily seems to grow. Their friendship becomes stronger and evolves into something more despite the 1970s being an era of not welcoming LGBTQ+ people. Nonetheless, both women are willing to take the risk, whether if it ends both of their careers or not.
