Abigail Gray is driving home from work one moment and the next she wakes up in the arms of an undercover Public Safety Officer - Rei Furuya. With her in and out of consciousness, he takes her to the hospital but doesn't leave any proof that he was ever there. When she gets out of the hospital, Rei approaches her and gives her his undercover name, explaining that he's a private detective that will help her with her case. First he suspects her of being a threat to Public Safety but after she fears everyone's life, including her own when they encounter the bomber, he decides to answer her questions, making her his corroborator, which means he'll protect her no matter what. While he dives deeper into the Black Organization, she is in charge of getting closer to the little boy who keeps getting in the Black Organization's way. What neither one expected, was falling in love with one another which meant that he has more than just himself to worry about. If the Black Organization finds out who he is, they'll both be in danger. Meanwhile, Abby is searching far and wide for answers to where she came from and why she begins to remember another life before waking up in Rei's arms.
