She Came From The Stars
In the world we live in today, speaking seems to be the only way one knows how to communicate; as if it is the only way to communicate- or is it? There are many unique children, scattered around the world, who are labelled as, "special needs", or "autistic", or ADHD. And these labels usually come with a negative stigma attached to them. But, what if- what if these children were just... different? What if these children are here, to show us a different, and more unique way of living. What if they are not in need, of "special attention"? What if they are just: special. This fictional (or is it?) short story , is geared to change your perception about these children, and your view point on communication, and the way we as human beings- speak.Complete

Redemption Reserved for Superheros
(edit) I forgot to add that this started out as a confessional journal about becoming clean after a 10 year + addiction to OTC cold meds, but that was not my style of writing, I liked the material so I wanted to expand it into a novel length work featuring the journal elements. To say this work is a roller coaster would put it lightly. Although there are elements of time travel I would consider my sudden transitions reality travel. I use actual experience and dreams as a foundation, then toss in some fourth wall breaking narratives (meta-fiction), with a sprinkling of facts and quotations from songs and factual articles. It tends to be written similarly to an essay sans the boring. I have been influenced strongly by Vonnegut and W. S. Burroughs , and a wide variety of album rock, and that bleeds through. The tags dystopian and dark humor describe the whole piece best but there is a lot of genre jumping. I've done a good deal of research, not just for factual things but for the type of writing I do. Although not technically fan fiction, there is a nod to Final Fantasy games. The cover photo is a shared copyright, Brian Barbour took the photo, I added treatments.Complete
