The Light in my World

Tessa, a young woman seeking renewal, decides to leave everything behind. Originally from Boston, she flees a heavy past that has kept her captive for far too long. With only her loyal cat, Réka, and a list of dreams scribbled on a piece of paper-her "wish list" for finally tasting freedom-she sets out on the road to San Diego, hoping to rebuild her life far from the chains of her past.

Newly hired at a bar pulsing with the rhythm of Californian nights, Tessa discovers a vibrant atmosphere and warm colleagues who gradually help her open up and rediscover herself. Amid this effervescence, a new feeling takes root within her: the hope of finally being happy.

But her path crosses that of Josh, an imposing and enigmatic man whose reputation seems to precede him wherever he goes. Tall, intimidating, and at times violent, Josh inspires both respect and fear among the bar's regulars. A frequent patron, he reigns in silence, an omnipresent shadow in Tessa's world.
