Kellin Quinn is the lead singer of the Band, The Sirens, when he bumps into some new British guy at his high school. It turns out to be a new, but complicated friendship he forms with this boy, named is Killian Horan Jamieson.
They both discover new sides of themselves - but is it for the worse or the better?
Short teaser:
“Don’t twitch your fingers like that.”
“I don’t need your advice, smartass.”
“I didn’t give you any, punker-boy.”
“Just shut up, foreigner.”
Jesse groaned in frustration. “Are you two ever going to stop arguing?” he growled at us for having been at each other’s throats even since we came to school. Now, it was lunchtime. Even though that meant we had spent half the day arguing, I was far from finished.
“I’m not sure punkers take advice,” Killian answered, not looking at all pleased with Jesse’s interference.
“Apparently foreigners don’t understand the words coming out of their mouths,” I said and Killian and I stared at each other, in a staring competition. Our other friends now also began voicing their annoyance at us by sighing - or actually poking us. But none of us wavered, not willing to back down.
“Just drop it already,” Justin complained nudging me in the side, my only weak point. Shit. Killian wasn’t supposed to see that. I mean, the enemy should not know my weaknesses! Nevertheless, I lost the competition by then arching my back, trying to escape Justin’s touch. This had everyone laughing at me, surprise, surprise. I pouted at them all. Assholes. I kept my gaze away from Killian, knowing he could break my stupid act just by one look.
I was not going let our friends see that...
