The Twin
An evil soul in the Devil's carnival, the Twin has done more than his fair share of bad deeds, and he sees no reason to stop now. He's tricked too many strangers to count, preying on their guilt and weaknesses. Lured in with a bet made by the ever charming Scorpion, the Twin prepares to claim his next victim. All he has to do is what the Scorpion usually does best, and trick the new soul into loving him, and then break her, and he'll win his prize. It sounds so easy to him, having done innumerable things such as this before. But what he doesn't expect is a reluctance to hurt the girl. She sees him as more than the snake he appears, and the humanity below, and he's not ready to lose that. But the Scorpion is waiting...
The Lamb
My arrival to Hell wasn't an unexpected one, but it was disorienting all the same to awake in a loud and unfamiliar carnival. I'm desperate to find someone - anyone - to help me adjust, and find my purpose in this unfamiliar place. I thought myself lucky to find such a willing, if not a little odd, guide. He won't tell me his name, and he never uses mine. He goes only by the Twin, and calls me only his Lamb. At first, I'm confused, but we settle into a comfortable friendship soon. I can feel myself getting familiar with him, and I start to wonder if Hell isn't such an awful place after all. I hope the uneasy feeling in the back of my mind is nothing...
