They say friendships can shape you, but no one warns you that they can also break you.
When I first met her, everything seemed so simple. Her laughter was contagious, and her smile was one of her best features. I thought I'd found someone who understood me in a way no one else had.
But things got messy - they always do, don't they? One fight turned into many. A friendship that was supposed to be simple became so much more complicated.
There were sides to choose, people to protect, and words I could never take back. People were hurt, some more than others. I told myself I could fix it, that it would all work out.
But now, looking back, I'm not so sure.
