Around and around, the light turned, guiding the way. The lighthouse, a sanctuary for the lost children of a world ravaged by the 'doom' monsters. These were the kids who had lost their parents to the never-ending kidnappings of these dark creatures, abandoned and adrift, until they found Seonghwa. He became their protector, their refuge, in the place where the light shone brightly, offering hope in the midst of the darkness.

Seonghwa was the children's chosen mother. Even if he wasn't the most qualified - at least in his own eyes - he always tried to be the best version of himself. Caring and supportive. Hoping and wishing to keep the children's innocence untarnished and safe. Protecting them as if they were his own.

Never daring to lose himself in the shadows where the Lighttower couldn't reach. Never betraying it, never turning his back on it. Every breath he took was dedicated to keeping his people safe and as pure as possible. Seonghwa was all too familiar with the loss of that. To have it snatched from his grasp without him being able to reach back for it. And he would never let that feeling cloud the hearts of the children - or his own. The well spun world he lived in was a safe space from the past he couldn't change anymore.

But happiness was never on his side. Misfortune shadowed him like a beast, always lurking around the corner, ready to strike in the most ruthless way.
