Now, at Twenty, Hazel feels suffocated by the expectation to stay positive and strong. What if she doesn't want to make lemonade anymore? Scarlet grew up surrounded by her parents' unwavering love and dedication to their shared goals. She witnessed their ups and downs, as well as their ultimate triumphs, which resulted in them becoming the CEOs of one of the largest Black-owned businesses in New York. Just having graduated college and turned twenty-three, Scarlet can be called a lot of things but spoiled or dependent is certainly not among that list. Determined and driven, she's laser-focused on forging her own path and achieving success - not just for herself, but for her parents and future lover.
