At 23, I've already finished two degrees-something I'm proud of, but also really tired from. I need a break, but let's be real-life doesn't stop. So, I've got a plan: apply for a paid internship.

This one's in San Francisco, at a brand-new startup. The cool part? I actually know the CEO. It's not as wild as it sounds-I worked hard to earn my spot in his circle. Now, he's building something new, and I can't think of a better chance to help out while gaining some experience. Who would say no to someone fresh out of a top business school? Exactly.

But the truth is, I'm not just doing this for the job. I want a change. I need to get away from home for a while, and this feels like the perfect way to do it.
