This fic is an expansion of the end of the Zara fight and the bit with Illario, plus what felt like a missing scene after getting Lucanis back to his room at the lighthouse.

Rook became a Crow as a lonesome young teen, and immediately befriended two charming boys. Illario was always a good friend, but the one always at her side was Lucanis. The pair became inseparable. Now, reunited to save the world, Lucanis is injured in a fight and Rook is desperate to help her friend, and begin to piece together what happened to him.

Rook/Emmrich romance. Lucanis as best friend (though if you ignore the Emmrich parts you can pretend this is part of the Luc romance)
