Silence. Complete and utter silence. Silence is not something Echo is used to. Silence means no noise. Silence means no pain. For now.

Pain. Immense and mind numbing pain. Pain is something Echo is used to. Echo has felt pain for as long as he can remember. Pain is something Echo despises.

Scarred. There are three main types of scarring. Physically, mentally, and sexually. Two of those three Echo has been scarred. Thankfully, not sexually.

To be physically scarred is like cutting yourself accidentally with a knife and after it has healed you always have that pinkish white scar as a reminder.

To be mentally scarred is to be put down by someone. For someone to tell you things over and over again that you eventually believe it and every little thing makes you ugly.

This is Echo's life living in his home. Where people who are supposed to love him mistreat him and neglect him.
What happens when Echo's mate finds him being whipped in the basement?

My Mother Runs With Wolves

51 parts Complete

A genetically unique but emotionally lost teenager must figure out who she is within her mixed-up, warring world of Shifters and Wolfstalkers. ***** It wasn't Maddie's choice to be born a half-breed, half Shifter, half Wolfstalker -- a hunter of Shifters -- and it wasn't her choice to keep her identity a secret. But after trying to attend high school like any normal sixteen-year-old, things quickly spiral south when her Stalker uncle finds out about her and catapults her out of anonymity and into the awareness--or possibly the crosshairs--of The Order of the Wolfstalker. Maddie must think fast and figure out a way to keep herself and her family safe, or risk losing everything. Including her life. [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]
