Neglected and forgotten by the Emperor; Arzhel grew up by himself living in the forgotten 'Sapphire Palace', placed with only elderly maids who took care of Arzhel despite the Emperor's unfavouritism. Though the lack of his fathers presence in the boy's life had made the child despite his father and crave for affection. Only until the birth of his half sister and the death of Diana did Arzhel take an interest in his family life. Coincidentally, at the age of 7 while trying to follow a white rabbit Arzhel and Athy happen to bump into each other and thus begins the story.

"I became bitter and untouchable. I craved affection but even the mere thought of someone caring makes my stomach turn."
