"I used to believe in love. That was before Avinash Malhotra tore my heart apart." Love should be simple, right? Girl meets boy, they fall in love, and the world falls into place. But in my case? Love turned into a joke. Avinash-charming, perfect, always the one who made me feel like I was the only woman in the room-shattered my world in a way I never expected. Not with cheating, not with lies. But with words. Words that were meant to destroy me. "Avni," he said, looking at me like I was the problem. "I love you. But you're not the kind of woman I can marry. You're not... marriage material for my family. You don't fit our status. You don't belong in our world." It hit me like a punch to the gut. And for a moment, I thought I'd crumble. Beg him to take it back. To apologize. But what should I apologise for? My middle class family? Did I cry? Oh, I did. Then I got smart. I disappeared. For an entire year. He didn't know where I was, and honestly? He didn't deserve to. But don't think I spent that year moping. I wasn't sitting in some dark corner, drowning in self-pity. No, I was planning. Plotting. Rebuilding myself into someone who doesn't need to beg for love or loyalty. So, I return. And guess what? The Malhotra family still thinks their world is all shiny and perfect. What they don't know is that I'm here to marry Aryan-the older, quieter, more "responsible" brother. What's my plan? Simple. I'll walk down that aisle, and they'll have no idea that I'm about to turn their world upside down. "Well, Aryan... looks like our future together just got a little more interesting."

{Book 1 in The Never series} "Marry me.", he commanded. "What?", I shrieked in disbelief looking into his eyes that were absolutely cold and emotionless. Does he take all this as a goddamn joke? "Let me rephrase. Be my bride.", he emphasized the last word. "Y-You are kidding right?", I asked trying to step away from him but he held me tightly by the waist. "No, I'm not. I'm perfectly serious. Marry me, Miss Mehta.", he commanded coming closer. "You can't be serious because you are an incarnation of Satan, Hell! calling you Satan will be an insult to Satan himself.", I yelled at him. "Call me anything but right now believe me this is right." "No, it's not, it can never be. You and I are like ticking bombs, if we come together, the explosion is definite." "I don't care. You have to be my wife.", he said in a cold voice. "Why??", I whispered to him, a tear escaped my eyes, followed by another and another. His cold eyes softened for a millisecond and then again turned hard. Life was never easy for Avni Mehta and just when she was done with picking the broken pieces of herself, came Neil Khanna who turned her life upside down. But that was not it, life and fate played their game when her past came and stood right on her face and once again everything got screwed. ©2020 ankitawrites_Xx Word count: 100,000-110,000 Cc: yoursonly_clichegirl
