#MultipleChoice delves into the lives of today's GenZ youth, exploring the challenges of adolescent sexuality, reproductive health, and the pursuit of personal dreams amidst societal pressures. Set in a rural Filipino town, the novel centers on Niňa, a bright and determined senior high school student from a low-income family. Orphaned by her father's passing, Niňa's resilience is tested as she juggles academics, family responsibilities, and the advances of Seojin, her charming yet troubled classmate from a wealthy family. Seojin is a complex character, caught between his affection for Niňa and the influence of his rebellious peers. His reckless decisions lead to a tumultuous relationship with Cheska, another student, resulting in an unplanned pregnancy and the devastating choice of illegal abortion. These events force Seojin to confront the consequences of his actions, creating a poignant commentary on the struggles faced by young people today. Hana, a passionate Korean volunteer from KOICA, brings a reproductive health program to the local school. Her mission to educate the youth on responsible decision-making is met with resistance from conservative community leaders, highlighting the cultural tensions between foreign assistance and traditional values. Arnold, a dedicated public school teacher, becomes her ally, advocating for the program despite backlash from local officials and his colleagues. As Niňa resists societal pressures and Seojin's advances, she chooses to prioritize her education and future over romantic distractions. By the novel's end, Seojin seeks redemption, regaining Niňa's trust, though only as friends. #MultipleChoice captures the emotional and moral complexities of adolescence, offering a thought-provoking narrative on love, identity, and the power of informed choices.

In the late nineties asexuality is all but ignored as an orientation. Jess doesn't understand her complex array of emotions or why she finds it so hard to relate to her fellow classmates. Catholic high schools and churches simply don't address the issue, and the internet is still nascent. Jess can't tell anyone the truth. Not even her best friend Care. Instead, she hides behind the guise of faith. Behind a mask of celibacy. Until she meets Eric, that is. He lets slip that he's asexual, and Jess wants to learn more. --- Watty Winner 2021 for best cover, best YA, and the Wattpad Books prize! --- Status: completed and unedited Rating: PG-15 for moderate language and frank discussions about sexuality Genre: teen fiction romance featuring two heteroromantic ace characters --- Cover designed using Canva Pro August 2020 --- Please note: This work is a teen fiction novelization of my multimedia novella "Mask of Celibacy".
